The development is the first step in the wider regeneration of Girdwood Park, 14 acre site located in Norther Belfast. The Hub is founded by the EU’s PEACE III Programme, and managed by the special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), the Department for Social Development and Belfast City Council. It will include a gym and well-being area, youth space, multipurpose rooms and an outdoor piazza with seating, as we as a range of other facilities. Belfast Metropolitan College will also run their education and training programmes within the hub.

With a target providing a state-of-the-art hub offering first-class leisure and community facilities, partners for each element of the project were carefully chosen. Podium 4 Sport was selected as the preferred supplier for the state-of-the-art gym.

This will be the first site in Belfast where Podium provide high tech cardiovascular equipment from Matrix Fitness’ 7Xe range complimented by its sleek and user friendly Aura strength range.
